The biggest Changi Airport food news of 2026 is the Jewel food court: Food Republic at #B2-238/239/240 reopened on 3 July after a three-month renovation, with a 1970s Singapore look and four Michelin Bib Gourmand stalls. The other headline openings are Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice's first flagship (Jewel #B2-243/244, from 22 August), a 24-hour Cookhouse by Koufu food court in Terminal 2 transit (from 15 May) and VE/LA, a 24-hour matcha bar in the Terminal 1 arrival hall.
Jewel units and hours below are checked against Jewel's dining directory, terminal outlets against Changi's directory where listed. Prices come from opening reviews and can change.
Jewel food court reopened: Food Republic, 3 July 2026
Food Republic opened at Jewel in 2019, closed in April 2026 for a revamp and reopened on 3 July as a 500-seat food atrium on Basement 2. The new design copies 1970s shopfronts, with wax figures of old street scenes and painted slippers on the floor marking each queue.
The Bib Gourmand names include MP Thai (its first food court stall) and Na Na Homemade Curry, a ten-year holder. Ai Shan Claypot Express from Hong Kong opened its first overseas stall here. HungryGoWhere counts 22 stalls; Eatbook's preview said 14 new ones.
| Stall | Dish | Price |
|---|---|---|
| MP Thai | Steamed grouper with Thai sour chilli | S$16.90 |
| Na Na Homemade Curry | Chicken curry set with rainbow bread | S$11.90 |
| LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles | Signature noodles (dry) | S$8.90 |
| Jian Bo Shui Kueh | Shui kueh, 5 or 8 pieces | S$4 / S$6 |
| Ai Shan Claypot Express | Four Treasures claypot rice | S$12.80 |
| Dessert Heaven | White chendol (Jewel only) | S$5 |
Prices are from HungryGoWhere's July review; Eatbook had LiXin at S$8.60. Jewel lists the hours as 8am to 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday and 8am to 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Both reviews said 8am to 11pm daily; we follow Jewel. That makes it the earliest breakfast in Jewel, two hours before most restaurants open.

Vietnamese bean-to-bar maker Marou opened its first boutique outside Vietnam at Terminal 1 in late July, with Singapore-only kaya toast and gula melaka bars. It is a shop, not a cafe. Moodie Davitt Report places it in the T1 Departure Hall (public); another guide says transit.
